Melissa King is driven. Driven by a vision of a multiple listing system (MLS) that works smarter, faster, and better for real estate professionals on both sides of the keyboard, their clients, and consumers. With one eye on what’s to come with prominent industry insights afforded in her work co-chairing the Council of Multiple Listing Systems (CMLS) Best Practices Advisory Council (and past roles on the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Presidential Advisory Group (PAG) and committees), with the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO), and as a resource consulting with other MLSs. And the other eye fully engaged on the day-to-day details of operations that deliver world-class solutions to more than 45,000 real estate professionals in the greater Metropolitan New York area. Melissa’s experience has led her up through the ranks in other prominent MLSs, working through nearly every department.



Described by colleagues as “an in-the-trenches leader,” Melissa leads by example, not stoically but enthusiastically, sharing her zest for policy and data, along with her personal vision and integrity. It is that ‘real talk,’ straight shooting with a smile approach that makes her a charismatic presence, sought-after speaker, and natural leader. Melissa sets a standard for advocacy, mentoring employees, colleagues, and family, encouraging all to see no limits to what they can accomplish with work and determination. That spirit can be traced through her own career championing data standards at MLSs’ of 80k+, finding partnership solutions at MLSs’ serving nearly 100k, and developing defining industry relationships in real estate brokerages. In her current role King stokes the engines, and steers the day-to-day operations of OneKey® MLS, removing impediments, and embodying servant leadership to the benefit of her team.
