OneKey MLS Board Member Linda Lugo Honored by NYSAR

Linda Lugo, a OneKey MLS Board of Managers member, was honored at the NYSAR Business Meetings in February with a 2024 NYSAR Community Service Award. Linda’s passion for animal welfare runs deep. As the founder of the Animal Response and Rescue Coalition, she has made it her mission to protect and care for pets in need. Her journey as an advocate spans decades, and she has found loving homes for countless dogs and cats.

After Superstorm Sandy in 2012, Linda’s commitment reached new heights. Seeing the devastation that left hundreds of pets displaced, she rallied REALTORS® to collect food, water, and even a washer and dryer to ensure these animals had clean blankets and a fresh start. She also volunteered at the shelter, walking dogs every day.

Linda provides disaster training for first responders for displaced dogs and cats through her nonprofit. She has partnered with Proud Rescuers of Puerto Rico by fostering pups, caring for over 40 dogs and puppies while they await their forever homes.

For Linda, helping animals isn’t just a cause—it’s a calling. Like real estate, it’s about finding the perfect home and making a lasting impact.
